Design Of Experiments For Injection Molding

A 2-Day Hands-On Seminar

The goal of this seminar is to provide the knowledge for achieving a robust ‘dimensional’ process. This seminar introduces the concept of Design of Experiments (DOE) for injection molding. The results from a hands-on DOE are analyzed to access the part quality. Process robustness based on dimensions is discussed and data-driven solutions to achieve the required robustness are provided.

Brief Syllabus:

  • Why Design of Experiments (DOE)
  • Is SIM the Same as DOE
  • Process Development for IM
  • Factor Selection for IM
  • Analysis of Results
  • Cautions, Exceptions, Procedures
  • Simple Plan to Get Started with DOEs

Hands-on portion will involve developing an entire process using SIM and DOE for a given mold. The attendees will be involved in running parts, measuring parts and performing the analysis.

“I thought this course would be full of math, but I was wrong! Suhas makes it so easy; I wish I had taken this course a long time back!”
